The Zamfara State Government, under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Dr. Dauda Lawal has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to grassroots empowerment and economic revival across the state.
During today’s State Executive Council meeting, Governor Dauda Lawal approved a fresh round of economic support targeted at boosting livelihoods and small businesses across all 14 local government areas of the state.
In a significant move, five (5) individuals from each of the 147 wards in the state will receive direct financial support of N150,000 each to help improve their economic standing and encourage productivity at the grassroots level. This initiative will benefit a total of 735 individuals per LGA, amounting to thousands of direct beneficiaries across the state.
In addition to this, the Governor also approved a special intervention for small-scale entrepreneurs in Zamfara. About 1,000 small business owners across various sectors will receive N500,000 each to support and expand their businesses.
These initiatives are part of the Governor’s broader vision to promote inclusive growth, create job opportunities, and support economic resilience among the people of Zamfara.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Hon. Mahmud Muhammad Dantawasa, described the interventions as a bold and people-centered decision that reaffirms the Dauda Lawal administration’s commitment to genuine transformation.
"The government is deliberately investing in people because Zamfara’s greatest strength lies in the resilience and enterprise of its citizens. This is not just aid, it is strategic empowerment,” the Commissioner stated.
The Dauda Lawal-led government will continue to prioritize the welfare of all Zamfarawa and ensure no community is left behind in the ongoing rebuilding and development of the state.
